  Coastal Form Processes

The sea is constantly in motion as winds and tides drive waves and currents. They in turn provide energy to erode, pick up, carry and drop sediments. Wind, rain and frost also break rocks down. As rocks of different materials are eroded and sediments transported, cliffs and beaches are formed.
